Congrats EHS & Cloudland
Although neither team will be moving on to Murfreesboro, the Star sports staff would like to congratulate Elizabethton and Cloudland’s girls teams on a job well done this season.
Both teams represented the county well all year long and should be proud of their accomplishments!

Sub-state set & ETSU news
First of all, Happy Leap Year Day.
We’ve got an exciting weekend of preps coming in Carter County.
Elizabethton and Cloudland’s girls teams took their regularly won region titles Thursday night in Afton.
Elizabethton topped South Greene 61-59 for the 1-AA title, while Cloudland whipped Cosby 54-30 for the 1-A title.

Boys Prep Tourney Results (Region semifinals)
Bulldogs end Cloudland’s run in region
Hampton finally got over the hump with a win over District 1-A champ Cloudland in the Region 1-A semifinals Tuesday night at Chuckey-Doak High School.
Dustin Milhorn and Bobby James took over the game in the second half and scored 18 points apiece to lead the ‘Dogs to a 66-50 win.
